Zeepad nightmare

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I'm not the type of person to just blast a company but I am so sad, frustrated and had my limit with the Android Zeepad 7.0 Tablet PC. My kids have had these tablets a week one of the chargers is broken (yes already) The tablet freezes if it works at all, the volume is bad I can't even explain to you... Nothing works!
So I go to the manual which is a joke to call it that... as only one of the Zee-pads came with the "manual" which is written in broken English to the point it's hard to even comprehend what there trying to say.
The tablet is a cheaply made Chinese product missing its correct accessories.. And so I contact the "seller" to finally get a reply after chasing butt for days. Oh they will take it back but I have to pay for shipping, I can't get a refund but an exchange after fees and only if they deem no damage was inflicted on the tablet...At this point I can't even cope with this, the tablets are horrible! My kids are in tears and I have no answers for them.

I refuse to waste any more money on these things after the $153 to buy them.. I try and refund with Amazon but see here is the catch they were opened ( yes well hello how was I meant to know they where broken) and Amazon only fulfilled shipment so of course I'm stuck with the seller who has no number for me to call. USA wholesale you suck what kind of company doesn't even have a contact number?

I can't tell you how bad I feel for my children.. Money does not grow on trees it's not like I can just replace these.

I advice anybody considering a tablet for your kids to stay clear of these... iPad, kindle, Nook etc is the way to go... You get what you pay for when it comes to technology :(

Scary thought since we just got one for our daughter... I hope it works... And yes, the manual is extremely poor written.

Hi Melissa, I had the same experience like you, Zeepad tablets arent designed for day to day use.

I bought two for my kids and they rejected its for many problems, battery life, slow response on finger touch, charger is very problematic and sometimes dont get energy to the tablet.

Other thing is one tablet is more fast than another, and is the same model.

I so feel for you as a mother and for the kids, we try our best spending hours on research so our kids can have similar things as the other kids from wealthier families and end up with junk.

I bought one for my self (kids grown) but needed a quick research tool for the 4 bible classes I have a week, it is slow but worked. But first off the power cord didn't work and the company sent me a new one, instructions where horrid, but I figured things out like everyone else, trial and error, thing is I turned mine one day, and EVERYTHING was gone, after less than 9 months, and it refuses factory reset, refuses everything, I am old so I wasn't dragging it around like kids might and on a fixed income, it took me a very long time to save for that one, I enjoyed learning how to use an android product, but for what it is, should have been about $19.99. than there would have been no loss. Even though it says it has 1 year limited warrantee, there is no contact information anywhere to have it upheld. And of course right now I can't afford the shipping. so pie in the face, I'm sure someone is laughing all the way to the bank, and my students will have to do without the much information I brought with me as my hands are too arthritic to use pen and paper, and can't carry all the heavy books. I'm pretty upset to have been ripped off so greatly.

We bought two of them for Christmas. They are junk. Can't even log into forums on it. I run several and thought it would work for quick access. The one I finally was able to get in, I still can't post.

To unlock, use the stylus to slide the padlock to the right and then tap it with the stylus. It will unlock.

I bought the Zeepad 7.0 the other day and I am sorry I had. It won`t work on my wireless network which is Verizon, no matter what I try and I was told that it won`t work on their network anyway. After searching all over the internet to get a second opinion there is no help. Please don`t buy one of these I don`t want to see anyone go through the frustration I have and I have computer experience.

First off, I am truly sorry that you had such a bad experience with you Zeepad. Its definately a disappointment with any electronic device when it does not match expectations. I have one, and I have to be honest with you...I love it. Its my first tablet, and it doesn't have all that I would have wanted, but it works great and I'm enjoying it. I say send yours back or take it back for an exchange. You must have gotten a bad one. Give it another shot.

HELP!! My 7 year old son was setting up his Zeepad and he entered a passcode and then forgot the pattern that he set it to. Everyone's response has been that once you lock yourself out of it a number of times then it comes up with a link to be able to log into your Google account. However, this does not happen. We just continue to get locked out for extended periods of time each time.

I cannot find any answers that work. Someone suggested using the power and volume buttons to reset it, but that did absolutely nothing.

As mentioned in a previous post, there is no active "Contact Us" link on the company's website.

I am at my wit's end with this, and he just wants to play on his tablet. Can someone please suggest something/someway that I can fix this and bypass the password lock or just reset the thing to factory settings?
Thanks so much!!

A PIECE OF JUNK!! Bought this for my teenage grandson for Christmas. He was so excited since that was the only thing he had asked for was a Tablet of somekind! Imagine his heartache after playing with it for only a couple hours it is broken! it was not dropped as I was in the room while he was playing. He had been playing a few of the installed games when suddenly !/2 the screen went off and it looks like the screen is shatterd from the bottom up! he had it in his hands when it happened! So glad I got this piece of crap on Discount so I am only out $60.00! Will stick with buying Kindles instead! Have 4 different ones and have never had an ounce of trouble with them. This tablet is way to flimsily made! Don't waste your money!!

I use Verizon with my zeepad and it works fine. I haven't had any problems. I just can't figure out how to get it to pair with my headset.

I won this Zeepad 7.0 at a church raffle, so far I have had very few problems. Yes it is slow to react, but I and my wife like WiFi feature to access the net. The instructions are impossible to read and some features on the tablet don't respond well.
I was wondering if anyone has mastered getting to the tablet's history screen, and if so how do you access it? Thanks and good luck to those having issues with this product.

I also bought one of the zeepad 7.0. Everything seemed great, my son played on it for two hours and THEN IT FROZE. I turned it off thinking I could reboot it, but now it is just DEAD. Dead after two hours of use. These tablets are a ripoff and a scam. MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY ONE.

BOY AM I GLAD I FOUND ALL YOU GUYS/GIRLS. THIS ZEEPAD IS A DISGRACE TO THE WORD TABLET. SAME AS ALL YOU MY SON HAD HIS FOR 3 DAYS AND IT WOULDNT CHARGE. BATTERY IS A JOKE I THINK IF I PUT SOME HAMSTERS INSIDE IT WOULD RUN FASTER, AND JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOU TRYING TO CONTACT ANYONE IS IMPOSSIBLE. I USUALLY LOVE BUYING OFF AMAZON BUT IF THEY ARE GOING TO PROMOTE THESE TYPES OF PRODUCTS I THINK I WILL LOOK TO ANOTHER SITE FOR MY SHOPPING. AND WHO IS THE IDIOTS THAT GAVE IT GREAT REVIEWS WHEN YOU DO A GOOGLE SEARCH. OH WAIT THEY MUST NOT OWN ONE. HAHAHA I AM COMPLETELY OFFENDED AT THE CHINESE PRODUCTS THAT CONTINUALLY RIP US OFF. WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING WE COULD ALL DO ABOUT THIS. BYE FOR NOW AND I FEEL BETTER. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.

its crazy since writing this post many months ago, so many people have complained of the same issues.. I've also had thousands of page views.

I can't stress enough just don't buy this item. I can't tell you how upsetting it is that the likes of Amazon still ship these out.

I bought one on nomorerack.com in december 2013 and it has literally only been used about 4 times. I plugged it into charge for a while, and when I turned it on the back light came on and it just froze on a white screen. I contacted the company I got it from and they are giving me the run around. They said they can't give me the vendors contact information for security purposes. I am so P.O'd!!! They are driving me crazy. Im about to hit this thing with a hammer! Seriously! Im not kidding!

i bought the zeepad 7.0 off of NOMORERACKS.COM for my son in december 2013 and it is stuck on the android screen. i have tryed everything to get this piece of crap to work and they refused to give me a refund worst tablet we have ever had.

I have heard that Amazon has been Selling frauds from China and Hong Kong.
They are still from the same company, but assembly companies (who put the parts together) patch more hours in to make less well made models with fraudulent numbers (for their own profit). That's why the company who makes these tablets won't refund. They don't recognize the number.
I just ordered one from nomorerack.com. I curious to see if mine works well. If not, it only cost 60 bucks.

I bought a Zeepad 7.0 on Nomorerack.com and it seems to work, except that I put a password in and need to know if there is a way to remove it. I agree that it does not do what I thought it would, but I can access my e-mail when I am traveling, and that is why I bought it. Does anyone know how to remove the password?

I too bought one from Nomoreracks.com for my daughter for Christmas as her first tablet. Well the charger broke the first day, but since it was a common charger I didn't make too big of a deal but maybe a month later at the most, it completely lost power and will not charge. I have tried to contact nomoreracks and can't get a response from them. I cannot find a contact for Zeepad 7.0. Finally found the website with some instructions and no of them worked and the Contact Us button was obviously put on there for decoration. I will never buy another one from them and right about now, I'm probably not going to support nomoreracks either as their customer service sucks. I'm going to try one more time and contact them and I'm done!!! Frustrated parent in Bwk, GA!!!

Nothing but problems with mine! Sometimes my history accidentally shows up. Anyone know how I can bring up my history on this?

Janice Holt said...

Yes, nothing but problems after three months of ownership. It was a Christmas present from son, which was what he could afford; purchased from Nomorerack. Just shy of six months, it crashed. No matter what I've tried, it will not go past the Android screen. Just about all the bad things everyone commented on your sight I experienced as well. SMH. Like one of your commentors, I will not purchase anything from Nomorerack again.

OMG! I purchased the Zeepad 7" Android 4GB tablet for my daughter last Christmas. Granted, she shared it a little bit with her younger sister, but once I finally got it to block what I wanted to block it wasn't more than 3 months later when it was completely broken, and of course neither child confessing....
This whole time I thought one of the children had done something so their punishment was they would have to wait "awhile" until we called the company with our 1yr warranty to fix it, and now I can't find anyone willing to fix it! I feel so bad now, thinking my children had something to do with breaking it, when really after reading all the similar problems other people have had it was this piece a junk machine! Not to mention a company that is just ripping people off!!
Basically, I'm just glad that as soon as I started to find out who I needed to contact, I found so many people having the exact same problems that I gave up early and just sucked up the loss and went with an established company. Thanks for sharing your experiences.... it helps people like me not waste time or more money trying to remedy a situation, when it will never happen.
Thanks,
Dawn - A Very Thankful Mother!

I can totally relate. As the newly divorced Mom of 4 on a limited budget I bought one for my daughter. After 2 months, numerous resets due to dropped programs including the keyboard and google play and a dislodged charger port I contacted the company and was sent a replacement. Now less than 2 months later the charger port on the replacement is dislodged.....It is a piece of crap. For those of you who have been unable to find the contact info it is helpdeskworryfreegadgets@gmail.com

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

BTW, it is no longer available on No More Rack!

The Zeepad 7 has no RF modem, so the only way you could be using it with Verizon is to be using your phone as a wifi hot spot. Also, this tablet has NO BLUETOOTH, so forget it. I have two, one still works the other lost its operating system (mind) a while back and doesn't boot any more. I bought a couple new chargers from amazon for 3 bucks each... bottom line... the first one took about a week before the USB port stopped working... I downloaded a replacment OS from their website but can't load it to the tablet... to the manufacturers, shame on you for designing such a poor product, and for defrauding these people! The least you could doo is to help everyone who's OS has been trashed buy having better support on your website! Websites are cheap, and pay an American to write your website, and manuals!

These devices are made in china. I found a company who will sell you one for 15 bucks, but charges 45 to ship.... now if you could get the shipping down to about 3 bucks, the price would be about right... yes it's an elcheapo device... notice I didn't call it a computer, or tablet, you can pretty much tell these people have valid problems. IF ANY OF YOU ARE ABLE TO FIND CONTACT INFO FOR THE IMPORTER, PLEASE POST IT HERE!

We bought four of these to spread around the family members and they are cheap and have problems. One micro-USB port snapped off under normal usage (I'm a service technician and careful with these ports), one got dropped by a family member and it sent pieces everwhere (not a durable case) but it actually still works although the audio control button is missing, and the other two are still functioning for over 6 months.

If it will not get past the boot screen there is a way to reset it by holding down the the up or down audio control while powering up. It will get to a simple screen where you use the audio button to select the option to reset and use the power button as the 'enter' key. If you fail to get in; keep trying. Hold the audio button down then press the on button and keep holding.

If it freezes while running there are too many open applications. I downloaded a task manager that allows me to kill off applications in the background and the ZeePad unfreezes.

If you are lucky enough to get one that passed a better quality control standard than the manufacturers are obviously using, then it's a great tablet for $60. Just you might end up spending $180 buying 3 and getting one good one...

I'm enjoying the white one that has held up. It's great for experimenting with new applications and if they screw it up I can just reset it.

omg! i wish i had seen these posts before i bought 2 of these from nomorerack.com...i've used mine 3 times...just recharged it and tried to turn it on and it won't go past the "zeepad 7 android" screen...i had a horrible time trying to turn it off (i finally read something that said to just hold the button down for 2-3 minutes)...supposedly after 30 seconds you could turn it back on successfully...no go...it didn't even want to turn off again...i tried the volume control button and the power button at the same time...still the same problem...i looked up the company that's supposed to "fix" these things and the BBB has many complaints filed against them...right now i'd be happy if nomorerack.com refunded my money to me...i hope the 2nd one lasts longer

Oh no! My uncle got me one for Christmas and the charger stopped working! I just thought it was a minor glitch but after reading all these comments i'm kinda worried! My mom won't listen to me when I try to tell her about the reviews and all she says is "Let it charge for an hour or two." Thank you for warning me!

Sadly, I bought three as Christmas presents and NONE OF THEM WOULD TURN ON!! I tried everything that was recommended but nothing works. I have a one year warranty on all three but I dont want a Zeepad. I purchased them from NOMORERACK and would rather just get my money back for them instead of getting them replaced. There is something wrong with the "brand: Zeepad" so why would I want three different onces. My three NEVER TURNED ON NOT ONE TIME. What a way to ruin Christmas for a 3, 2, and 2 year old!!

E Paulson said...

just bought four Zeepads from nomorerack for my grandkids for Christmas. Two will not turn on one lasted for three days and will no longer turn and the fourth has only been used once. Because I ordered in advance from nomorerack due to having delivery problems last year my 30 days is up and they will not do anything for me. They referred me to Worry
Free Gadgets for warranty repair however they want $15 a piece to fix them. That's another $45 for something that either never worked or only worked for three days. I'm not only done with nomorerack but I'm done ordering anything electronic on line. I will be putting in a complaint to the BBB as well as to the Attorney Generals office for both companies. Good Luck everyone, be sure to let everyone you know about these companies.

I recieved this zeepad for Christmas 2014.I have read all the complaints and have to say I agree with them. The first time it would not turn on after charging. Then I was taking pictures and it froze!!!!!!!!!But I will say that I bought several items off nomoreracks and this is the ONLY product I have had problems with,so I am not sending it back since no one else is having good luck with refunds.

I am a mother of two and got each of them one for Christmas 2014. Both the chargers have a short in them and my daughter's wont even come on at all or take a charge at all even when I can get that to work. The other one freezes and wont play half of the games I downloaded for him. This is the worst thing I could have spent my hard earned money on. These tablets are the worst. Now I have to replace the two I bought with one better one. Well lesion learned.

So relieve to find out it's not just my child's Zeepad that's a piece of crap. Very disappointed in this product and can't believe I didnt hear or see this sooner...Shes upset and we're lost for words

I just bought a "Zeepad Kids' Cortex A7 4GB 7" Dual-Camera Tablet & Accessories" for $45.00. And I have to say that so far the tablet meets my expectations. we just received ours yesterday and I didn't expect light Speed processing or a killer camera. it's for my 2 year old son who will probably have it broken in a year. I haven't had any problems getting it to work as expected if he presses too hard on the screen it freezes for a few seconds to a min. but is great for him to use for a few learning apps or watching episodes of his favorite shows and does a lot more than a leap-pad or Innotab. and I am satisfied with my purchase.
