Lynda Aicher - Bonds of Courage (ARC)

Bonds of Courage (Wicked Play, #6)Bonds of Courage by Lynda Aicher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The bonds of courage is the latest installment in the wicked play series.
This book focuses on Holden and Vanessa. We have met Vanessa previously as she is a partner and PR business lady at the Den.

Holden is a professional hockey player, he is also a submissive. The two do not work well together for his Career and the gossip rags always love a Scandal. He is nervous about his interview for membership at the Den but he can't seem to deny his submissive side.

Vanessa can see the storm that giving Holden a membership can create if this information is leaked. She offers to do the interview herself.

Upon meeting Holden something opens up in Vanessa that wasn't their before. Something that she denied herself because Of her past troubles and lack of trust in men.

Lust, desire, a need to dominate this man.
She knows Holden can break her guarded walls and that scares her.

Holden knows that Vanessa is one bad ass Mistress, she calls to him in ways he cannot explain, she feeds his soul. He sees a vulnerability in her that others have missed. He aches to know the woman Under the ice queen facade.

Lynda Aicher is simply amazing this series has me enthralled! Each character is so deep, each circumstance so detailed. Her books create vivid pictures. It's not just words on a page Its a whole world created. I love the reoccurring characters and on going stories.

I like that Vanessa was the dominant in this story and the macho hockey player was the submissive. It added different dynamic to the story and shows people that a dominant doesn't automatically mean strong or the sub doesn't automatically mean weak.

This couple was hot and sexy I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and love develop.

I cannot wait for the next book, Liv and Noah !!!!! So excited

Lea Nolan - His billion dollar baby

His Billion Dollar BabyHis Billion Dollar Baby by Lea Nolan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Gwen is a woman who has had it hard but always fought to get what she wanted in life, its not been easy but she has never given up. One crazy moment in time she decides to feel instead of think. She has a one night stand with a client and ends up pregnant.

Ben her friend who is the father to her unborn child dies while on deployment and never finds out Gwen is pregnant. Wanting to so desperately to share the news with him she attends the funeral and puts a sonogram picture in the casket.

Only to be caught out by Carter Anderson, Cater has been burned before by his ex wife. He knows how women can be manipulators and users to get what they want, and the Anderson fortune is huge. He suspicious of Gwen and makes it known from the very start.

What he doesn't expect is to grow to love Gwen with that he becomes torn between his heart and his brain. His heart is falling for this woman and her unborn child - possibly his brothers baby. However his brain is telling him to save his family company from the hands of a stranger at all costs.

This is an enjoyable story, pretty predictable but awesome characters none the less. I liked hearing about the histories of both Carter and Gwen - seeing what shaped them to become the people they where.

I just wished this story contained a more finer details, it did feel rushed in places.

H.M Ward - The Wedding Contract (Ferro)

The Wedding Contract (The Ferro Family)The Wedding Contract by H.M. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So much Ferro all in one book! Amazeballs..

Skylar is a woman who is trying to make it on her own. A hugely talented photographer in her own right. She was running a successful business up until Nick Ferro moves into the opposite store front with the exact same business.

Having no idea what his game is or why he wants to destroy her and drive her out of business she vows to fight. Being an oops baby that her mother looks down at and resents their is no way she can give up and go home.

Nick has the Ferro hard as hell don't mess with me mask that all these males process. He has to make his business work even if it means ruining Sky. If he doesn't its going to cost him in a value hes not willing to pay.
Nick is a combination of all Ferro men from crazy mean to so sweet it should be a sin.

One Wedding and two photographers who both need to win.

The antics that go on in this story are hilarious, and at times crazy embarrassing and totally jaw dropping! I would of been far more unhinged then Sky that's for sure. I loved her fighting spirit to keep him on his toes

I adored the Peter Pan element and the strive for a fairy tale ending I found it so romantic.

H.M Ward is simply amazing - her writing is one of a kind and some how she made Nick a mixture of all our favorite Ferro elements! I felt Nick started as Sean (some what mean and distant) went to Jon (funny and prankster) and ended with Peter (a total blow your socks off romantic)

I love that Nick had the power and integrity to walk away from all the meddling, deceitful ways of the Ferro Fortune.

WIN!

Shattered -Bk2 Extreme Risk - Tracy Wolff

Shattered (Extreme Risk, #2)Shattered by Tracy Wolff
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shattered- an extreme risk a novel by Tracy Wolff.

Ash was at the top of his game, one of the country's greatest snowboarders. He was going to go far, he was going to get to the Winter Olympics. The death of his parents in a car accident which also left his brother paralyzed put an end to those dreams.

He struggles daily with his guilt, his anger and his resentment to the world for the situation he finds himself in. He wants to do everything correct for his brother Logan but how can he be a guardian to a 14 year old kid when sometimes he struggles with his own issues?

Tansy is a woman that has had it tough all her young life. She is the girl that has had cancer for the past 10 years. Now in remission she wants to make a life for herself, find an identity and become an actual Person with likes and dislikes.

Taking a job at Make a wish Foundation, Her first assignment is to help a boy called Timmy. He wants to see one of the greatest snowboarders - Ash- perform.

All Tansy has to do is convince a man who gave up boarding to get back on the slopes. Which is no easy task since the man is all but falling apart from the hand that life gave him.

I enjoyed getting to know Ash and catching up with his friends again. Tansy was an awesome fit for Ash. She knew exactly what he was going through and was there to help and guide him. She may be small but was so strong and feisty.

This story deals with so many powerful issues, sad issues of illness and death. It's about young people learning to find there way after a negative blow. The author did a great job at expressing each character in a very articulate way.

I love that Tansy and Ash found solace in each other. That they use each other to find there way.
